The Cybersecurity Week Luxembourg in a few figures. 2,500 cyber security professionals are going to attend more than 20 events, with the support of 25 sponsors. Other local key players are also involved in the European Cyber Security Month including the ABBL, BEE Secure, the Grand Ducal Police, the RESTENA CSIRT and the University of Luxembourg.
Francine Closener, the Secretary of State of the Economy, of Internal Security and of Defence, expressed the following position on this topic: “Luxembourg has earned an excellent reputation in the information security sector. Our national strategy put emphasis to cooperation between public and private actors. We also have a competence center (C3) which plays a major role in the promotion of Luxembourg. On a more individual scale: we all use digital tools in our daily lives: at work, at school at home. And we all want to be safe online. Therefore, cybersecurity is a shared concern – and responsibility. Let’s take advantage of the October campaign to raise our cyber awareness.”
